Troy McQuagge joins key executive group at USHEALTH Advisors, L.L.C.
Health insurance industry veteran sees remarkable growth potential for Grapevine, TX based sales group
Grapevine, TX January 17, 2011 - USHEALTH Advisors, L.L.C. (USHA) a growing national health insurance agency specializing in the self-employed and individual market, has announced the addition of Troy McQuagge to head its national sales operations.

Many are longtime friends and colleagues whom I’ve known and worked with over the years; so my decision to come out of retirement and to work with them, again; was an easy one to make.”
McQuagge’s reputation for excellence is well-known in the insurance industry. He began his career with the Allstate Insurance Company in 1983. He joined the Student Insurance Division of United Insurance Companies Inc. (UICI) in 1995. McQuagge was named president of UGA in 1997 when Ron Jensen sold the privately-held agency to UICI. Under McQuagge’s leadership, UGA set numerous single-year sales records. When UICI was acquired by private equity investors in 2006, the corporate name was changed to HealthMarkets and McQuagge was tasked with leading all of the sales and marketing efforts within the company’s self-employed group. With McQuagge serving as its president in 2007, the HealthMarkets’ Agency Marketing Group (AMG) exceeded $1 Billion in eligible sales volume and was recognized as the Insurance Sales Organization of the Year, by Selling Power Magazine and the Stevie Awards. After leading the company’s sales efforts for more than a decade, McQuagge retired in March, 2008. During his tenure with the company, the value of its stock increased from a low of $5.18 per USHAre in May, 2000 to more than $44.00 per USHAre in December, 2007.
